Our School Day
We are pleased to be able to offer our parents full wrap around care for their children. To this end, we operate Breakfast Club each day, which starts at 7:30 am. This facility provides the children with a healthy start to the day and a social environment to enjoy the company of their friends.
All other children and parents then have the opportunity to arrive at school from 8:30am where they are welcomed into the school and invited to take part in a range of activities together, such as sharing a book, completing handwriting or completing a fine motor activity or puzzle.
There is always a member of staff on the school gate to welcome parents and children to school each day from 8:30 am.
At 8:40 am a bell is rung, at which point parents are then requested to leave the classrooms in order that our school day can begin. Registration is at 8:45 and the playground gates are locked at this time. Any children arriving after this time are late and should enter via the office and be signed in.
Every class has a morning break from 10:30am to 10:45am. The children have access to a health fruit snack and water during the day.
For Reception and Key Stage 1 children the morning finishes at 12:00 pm; for Key Stage 2 it is 12:15 pm. Reception go straight to lunch at 12pm , where they are served a healthy, balanced, hot meal. They then go out for their lunch time play at 12:30pm. The school afternoon starts at 1pm.
The end of the school day is at 3:15pm. The playground gates are opened just prior to this and parents are welcomed into the playground to wait for their child to be dismissed. Gates are locked at 3.30pm. We ask that parents / carers do not allow their children to use the learning/ play equipment whilst waiting for their child to be dismissed.
Enrichment Clubs are run from 3:30pm - 4:30pm and these consist of a range of activites such as: music, Multi Sports, Les Puces French Club, computer club and Let's Create, an art and DT club.
After School Club then runs from 4:30pm - 6pm each day. At the after school club the children are provided with a high tea and enjoy playing games with their peers, in a relaxed environment.
