It is a pleasure to welcome you to our website - a window into our thriving school.

We are a welcoming, exciting and nurturing 2-form entry Church of England Primary school located in the heart of Tonbridge, Kent. We were established in 2017. We benefit from a new purpose-built school building with 3 playgrounds, a developing Forest School and have links with 2 local churches.

Bishop Chavasse Church of England School Policies are all underpinned by our school parable ‘The Wise and the Foolish Builder.’

Jesus is at the heart of Christianity. As a church school we believe that, like the wise man, those who are guided by the word of God in the Bible and trust in him will become wise, compassionate and honest; be empowered to weather all storms, help one another flourish and make a difference in the world.

Through the celebration of individual achievement and the nurturing of each child’s unique personality and potential, our school motto is born:

Our values of Compassion, Honesty and Wisdom, underpin our carefully designed inspirational curriculum and are threaded through all of our teaching and learning, to allow all our pupils to be enthused and challenged, have fun, partake in adventures and make everlasting friendships and exciting long-lasting memories.

We are committed to nurturing our pupils and ensuring they become curious and courageous members of the community. We have high academic expectations of all the children at our school, encouraged and taught by a team of dedicated, passionate staff, supported by parents, governors and the Tenax Schools Trust.

In addition to our carefully structured curriculum, we offer a wealth of enrichment opportunities for the pupils at our school: from trips, music recitals, workshops and residentials to breakfast and after school clubs.

We understand the importance of building strong positive and trusting relationships with our families to ensure the children at our school thrive and have the most wonderful and memorable of learning experiences at our school. We hold a host of information evenings and workshops for parents throughout the year focusing on different areas of the curriculum or school life, and the website provides much important information about the school as well.

We operate an open-door policy and our staff are always happy to respond to questions and queries after school or you can make an appointment to meet at a mutually convenient time.
