We have introduced an adapted whole school spelling initiative. This initiative aims to strengthen our students' spelling skills by aligning their in-class learning with their practising at home. Every week the children will undergo a short spelling test, and during our GPS lessons, we will introduce the children to a new specific spelling rule to be learnt and practise the following week. This rule will be closely linked to the spellings they are practising at home. To monitor our students' progress and provide them with an engaging opportunity to demonstrate their learning, we will implement a spelling quiz at the end of each term. This quiz will consist of 20 words that have been practised throughout the term. The words may be selected from any of the columns covered during our spelling lessons.
